Man in wheelchair killed after crash with SUV in Fort Myers
FORT MYERS, FL – A man in a wheelchair suffered fatal wounds after he crossed the Winkler Avenue and Colonial Boulevard junction and collided with a black SUV Sunday.
NBC-2 confirmed this collision occurred before 11:30 p.m. and said the man in the wheelchair did not have the right of way. The driver of the black SUV did get out of their car and rendered aid to him. Despite the attempt, the man was declared dead at the scene.
No charges are pending.
