Man loses life after driver fails to negotiate curve in Riverview
RIVERVIEW, FL – A driver of a Land Rover SUV failed to negotiate a curve, leading her vehicle to crash into a Toyota SUV, resulting in the Toyota driver’s death Thursday.
Florida Highway Patrol told ABC Action News that this collision happened around 11:40 a.m. on the eastbound State Road 618 entrance ramp to northbound I-75. Troopers said the Land Rover hit the Toyota SUV, and the force of the crash led the Toyota to roll over and eject its driver — a 50-year-old man — from the vehicle.
First responders rushed the man to the emergency room, where he later was declared dead. The Land Rover motorist — a 56-year-old woman — remained at the scene and was able to walk away from the crash unscathed.
