Man’s life claimed after getting shot, crashing into Tampa home
TAMPA, FL – A man was taken to a hospital where he later passed away after he was shot and crashed his car into a home on Courtland Street Monday.
Tampa Police said they arrived at the scene after 8 a.m., telling WTSP that the man getting shot is what caused him to lose control of his car, thus leading to the collision.
The home’s occupant, a woman, was also transported to a hospital but is expected to survive. Potter Elementary School personnel put the school on lockdown, but that has since been removed.
The police department launched an investigation but have not been able to confirm the suspect and what prompted them to want to fire their gun at the victim.
Anyone with additional information about Monday’s incident is advised to contact the police department at the phone number listed in the source.
