Medical episode leads to solo deadly wreck in Jacksonville
JACKSONVILLE, FL – The Jacksonville Sheriff’s Office believes a 50-year-old man suffered a medical episode while driving, leading him to crash into a sign and to his death Thursday.
First Coast News said this collision happened around 6:30 p.m. in the 7000 block of Atlantic Boulevard. Prior to the man ( the sole occupant of his SUV) crashing into a fast food sign, he hit an electric pole.
First responders took the driver to a hospital, where he later passed away. No other information is available.
