Merging lanes results in crash that kills motorcyclist in Tampa
TAMPA, FL – A motorcyclist was taken to a hospital where he later died after he tried to switch lanes and collided with a pickup truck hauling a trailer Tuesday.
WTSP said this collision occurred after 4 p.m. on Veterans Expressway. After the motorcycle struck the truck, it then rolled over before stopping in the northbound lanes along with the truck.
Florida Highway Patrol confirmed the pickup truck driver was unharmed. Troopers closed lanes before later reopening all.
