Miami chain reaction crash on Turnpike injures 20 people
MIAMI, FL – Twenty people were injured following a chain-reaction effect collision with multiple vehicles on the Ronald Regan Turnpike Sunday, Local 10 said.
Based on a preliminary report, a driver of a white Toyota SUV was going south on the Turnpike when she collided with a barrier bridge wall and was thrown from her vehicle. The force of this collision caused the car to flip over numerous times.
This collision prompted a crash involving three other vehicles. The Toyota SUV driver was seriously injured. Twenty other people, five from the SUV and others from the three other vehicles, sustained unspecified injuries.
Troopers redirected drivers to the Turnpike.
