Michigan man fatally struck by SUV driver in Nokomis
NOKOMIS, FL – A 50-year-old man from Michigan lost his life after being hit by an SUV at the U.S. 41 and Albee Road intersection on Friday.
This crash happened before 5 p.m. near Palmetto Road, according to FOX 13 News. The unidentified man died at the scene.
An investigation has found that the man was trying to cross six lanes of traffic outside of a marked a crosswalk when he was struck by the SUV’s front-right corner.
The male pedestrian was pronounced deceased at the scene by Sarasota County EMS.
