Motorcyclist dies after turning left, hitting SUV in Orange Park
ORANGE PARK, FL – A 24-year-old man riding a motorcycle was turning left when he collided with an SUV, leading him to his death and injuring the SUV driver and passenger.
This crash was reported before 2:30 p.m. Sunday at the Kingsley Avenue and Plainfield Avenue intersection, according to First Coast News.
Florida Highway Patrol said the motorcyclist had struck the SUV’s right side before eventually coming to rest in the middle of the intersection, while the SUV went into the northwest shoulder and came to a complete stop. As a result, the motorcyclist succumbed to fatal injuries at the scene, and the SUV driver, a 75-year-old woman, and her passenger, a 6-year-old boy, both from Middleburg, succumbed to fatal injuries.
