Motorcyclist killed in crash with deer, vehicle in Palmetto
PALMETTO, FL – A 50-year-old man operating a motorcycle died after he fell off his bike when he struck a deer and then was hit by another vehicle Tuesday.
The Bradenton Herald confirmed this collision occurred after 9 p.m. on I-75 South adjacent to Buckeye Road. When the man from Sarasota collided with the deer, he fell off his bike and came to rest on the left shoulder. The deer was thrown on the right shoulder and succumbed to fatal injuries.
Florida Highway Patrol revealed that it was a trooper’s vehicle that struck the motorcyclist as they were responding to the collision.
