Motorcyclist killed in left-turn collision in Jacksonville
JACKSONVILLE, FL – A driver of a four-door Subaru going east on Argyle Forest Boulevard turned left on Westport Road and struck a motorcycle, leading to the rider’s death Wednesday.
When the vehicles collided around at 8:30 p.m., the rider ejected from his bike and came to rest on a stretch of concrete before succumbing to fatal wounds at the scene, according to First Coast News.
The driver, who remained at the scene and cooperated with investigators, was able to survive without any injuries.
And while very few details have been made available upon the launch of an investigation by the Jacksonville Sheriff’s Office, they have not confirmed whether intoxication played a role in thecollision.
