Motorcyclist killed in left-turn crash with car along ZooTampa
TAMPA, FL – A man operating a Kawasaki motorcycle succumbed to fatal injuries after colliding with a Hyundai Santa Fe turning left near ZooTampa at Lowry Park.
This collision was reported after 4 p.m. Saturday on the 1100 block of West Sligh Avenue, Tampa Police revealed. Police said the Hyundai driver was heading east on westbound Sligh when the motorcyclist (who was only identified as a Hispanic man in his 20s) collided with the Hyundai’s driver’s side.
The unidentified man was declared dead at the scene. The Hyundai motorcyclist remained at the scene and will not face any charges.
Police said that speed may have contributed to this fatal wreck. However, This fact has not yet been confirmed, as officials are working to learn more about the events leading up to this incident.
