Multi-county police chase ends in rollover crash in downtown Tampa

TAMPA, FL – A police pursuit involving a stolen vehicle ended in a rollover crash in downtown Tampa on Tuesday evening.

According to WFLA, deputies in Polk County initiated the chase at about 5:09 p.m. when they spotted two occupants in the stolen vehicle. The suspects were pursued into Hillsborough County until their vehicle crashed near East Harrison Street and North Jefferson Street.

The cause of the collision is not mentioned in the report. However, photos show two sedans were involved, one of which overturned as a result.

Police say no one was seriously injured as a result of the crash.
