Officer hospitalized after responding to wreck in Doral
DORAL, FL – A Miami-Dade Police officer was taken to the hospital after her unmarked police vehicle was rear-ended by another vehicle while responding to an 8-vehicle wreck Monday.
WSVN said this collision took place at the SR-826 and Northwest 58th Street junction. Miami-Dade deputies confirmed that the police officer positioned her car to block traffic when she was hit.
The woman is expected to survive. The exact details of this multi-vehicle collision are unknown, but video footage indicated that five cars and the unmarked police vehicle were affected.
The express lanes and left lanes were shut down, and delays could be seen towards I-75.
