One dead after car-pedestrian crash in Jacksonville
JACKSONVILLE, FL – One was left dead after a crash between a pedestrian and a car on University Boulevard Wednesday.
The collision occurred around 5 a.m. when a driver of a southbound Toyota Camry hit the pedestrian. The driver told investigators that he did not see the pedestrian, News 4 Jax reported.
Officials said there was no crosswalk; the pedestrian succumbed to fatal injuries.
The driver remained at the scene and cooperated with officials. It appears as though he will not face charges.
