One dead after car vs. pedestrian crash in Jacksonville
JACKSONVILLE, FL – A man’s life was claimed after he was walking on the 3700 block of Phillips Highway and was hit by a car Thursday.
The collision occurred around 8:30 p.m., according to First Coast News. He was traveling south and was struck by a woman driving a Chevy Tahoe.
Officials said the woman remained at the scene and was unaware that the man was walking.
The man gave in to his injuries and was pronounced dead at the scene.
