One hurt in Pinecrest school bus-car crash with pole

PINECREST, FL – A driver of a car collided with a school bus, which prompted the school bus driver to crash into a utility pole Thursday. 

The collision occurred before 8 a.m. on Southwest 88th Street, according to Local 10. 

No children were on the bus amid the collision. One person sustained unspecified injuries and was transported to a hospital. 

The traffic lights were knocked out. While crews worked on repairing the traffic control box, officials redirected drivers. 

The exact cause of Thursday’s crash is under investigation. Updates will be posted as they become available.
