One-year-old boy dead, three adults hurt in Tampa crash
TAMPA, FL – Three adults were injured, and a 1-year-old toddler’s life was claimed in a two-vehicle crash Sunday.
The collision occurred after 11:30 p.m. on the Selmon Expressway, according to ABC Action News. The driver of a westbound Hyundai Sonata, a 20-year-old woman, lost control of her car, drifted off the road, and collided with a guardrail.
The Sonata then hit a Nissan Pathfinder.
The impact of Sunday’s crash caused the 1-year-old boy (a passenger of the Sonata) to be thrown from the vehicle. He was taken to a hospital, where he, unfortunately, succumbed to fatal injuries.
The 20-year-old woman was seriously hurt, and the other passenger of the Sonata, a 27-year-old man, sustained non-life-threatening injuries.
There were three occupants of the Pathfinder: two passengers – a 6-year-old girl, a 25-year-old woman, and a 47-year-old woman. The driver – the 47-year-old woman – sustained minor injuries, and the other two were spared from harm.
