Pedestrian fatally hit by pickup truck on Beach Blvd in Jacksonville
JACKSONVILLE, FL – A 68-year-old woman died New Year’s Eve after being struck by a vehicle in southeast Jacksonville, according to First Coast News.
Florida Highway Patrol troopers said the incident took place in the outside lane of Beach Boulevard near St. Johns Bluff Road, at about 10:00 p.m.
Preliminary details show a 68-year-old Jacksonville woman was walking northbound and crossing Beach Boulevard when she was struck by a pickup truck driven by a 38-year-old man, also of Jacksonville.
First responders rushed the victim to a nearby hospital where she succumbed to her injuries.
At this time, no information regarding pending charges or citations has been disclosed.
