Pedestrian hospitalized after getting hit by car in Tampa

TAMPA, FL – A pedestrian had to go to the hospital after they were struck by a driver at the West Hillsborough Avenue and North Habana Avenue junction Tuesday.

The events unfolded around 7:45 a.m. when the pedestrian was walking outside a crosswalk and was hit by the driver as they were turning east on Hillsborough, WFLA said.

Tampa Police started an investigation and have not released other information.
