Person injured in wreck on Metro Pkwy near Gulf Coast Medical Center

FORT MYERS, FL – Authorities responded to an injury collision Wednesday afternoon on Metro Parkway in south Fort Myers, according to NBC 2.

The accident took place outside of Gulf Coast Medical Center, leaving two northbound lanes blocked in the aftermath.

While the events leading up to the crash have not been specified, the Lee County Sheriff’s Office said two vehicles were involved.

One person had to be transported to the hospital for unspecified injuries.

An investigation remains underway.
