Pickup, semi wreck in Immokalee claims one life

IMMOKALEE, FL – One person succumbed to fatal wounds in a collision, which appears to be between a white pickup truck and a semi-truck on SR 29 along Experimental Road Thursday.

The impact of this wreck, reported before 7 a.m., caused major damage to the semi’s cab and the white pickup truck was seen right in front of the big truck, NBC-2 reports.

The Collier County Sheriff’s Office and other first responders had to shut down numerous lanes along SR-29 to accommodate the scene clearance and investigation process. The area remained closed until 10:30 a.m.
