Pickup truck crash takes down 3 palm trees in Fort Myers
FORT MYERS, FL – Three palm trees were knocked over when the driver of a pickup truck collided with them Sunday morning, according to NBC-2.
This collision happened along the Bayside Parkway and McGregor Boulevard intersection. Dr. Billy Truax of Truax Downtown Dental, who spoke to the source, said the events of the crash unfolded when the motorist traveled down McGregor before “clipping the curb” and then going “straight down.”
Traux said that if the palm trees were not there, then the driver would have likely rammed into the new dental office. Fortunately, no one was harmed in this single-vehicle collision, there was no damage to the building, and the driver was not cited.
