Pickup truck driver fatally collides head-on with semi in Lakeland

LAKELAND, FL – A 36-year-old man driving a pickup truck tried to pass another vehicle on the opposite lane and collided head-on with a semi-truck, claiming his life Saturday.

This crash happened after 3:15 a.m. when the 2020 Chevy Silverado pickup truck driver was going south, and the semi-truck driver was going north on U.S. 98, according to ABC Action News.

The semi-driver and passenger were unharmed.
