Pickup truck driver fatally hits motorcyclist in Tampa
TAMPA, FL – A driver of a pickup truck was approaching a Walmart when he pursued a turn on Dale Mabry Highway and hit a motorcycle, resulting in the rider’s death Wednesday.
The collision happened when the pickup truck driver — a 59-year-old man from Tampa — was going north while the the victim, operating a Suzuki motorcycle, was traveling south, FOX 13 News said.
The pickup truck driver and the passenger with him, a 52-year-old woman, also from Tampa, were both unharmed.
Florida Highway Patrol declared the motorcyclist dead at the scene. He has since been identified as a 25-year-old man from Little Falls, New Jersey.
