Plane crash in West Broward claims 2 lives
WEST BROWARD, FL – A pilot and one passenger on a Cessna 172 Skyhawk plane lost their lives after the pilot crashed near Alligator Alley Wednesday.
WSVN said the events of this wreck unfolded when the pilot left North Perry Airport at 6:30 a.m. Everything seemed to operate smoothly, then, for reasons unclear; 45 minutes later, the plane started descending from the sky, crashing somewhere between mile marker 27 and mile marker 28. As a result, some parts of the plane caught on fire.
Officials have yet to release the names of the deceased individuals.
