Police chase ends in fatal crash in Miami Springs

MIAMI SPRINGS, FL – One was hurt and another was killed in a police chase that ended with the driver colliding with a utility pole along the Miami International Airport Saturday.

The pursuit began on westbound Northwest 36th Ave., and the crash happened in the area of NW 66th Ave, NBC Miami reported.

Police were pursuing a chase because the car both men traveled in was reported stolen. The passenger was transported to Ryder Trauma Center and is expected to survive, while the driver was pronounced dead at the scene.

Miami-Dade Police are investigating this collision.
