Police chase prompts crash, injuries on NW 62th St. in Miami
MIAMI, FL – A police chase led to a wreck at the intersection of Northwest 62 Street and 25 Avenue Monday afternoon.
According to Local 10, three armed carjacking suspects were traveling in a stolen black Nissan Sentra when they crashed into a Miami-Dade Police vehicle.
Guns were aimed at the officers during the pursuit. The police officer, who was identified as Khristopher Welch, was taken to a hospital where he suffered a concussion. Welch was released from the hospital.
The suspects of the carjacking were identified as 19-year-old Walter Carter, 20-year-old Ryan Wright, and a 17-year-old boy, all of whom were arrested. Only one of them sustained injuries and was taken to a hospital.
