Police pursuit leads to fatal crash near Grand Ave. Park
ORLANDO, FL – A man suspected of shooting someone had died after he had fled from police and then crashed into another vehicle near Grand Avenue Park Wednesday.
Orlando Police received a call around 1 p.m. regarding the shooting, Click Orlando said. A short time later, they found the suspect’s vehicle and initiated a pursuit in the area of Michigan Street. As the chase continued, the man traveled west on I-4 east and collided with the vehicle.
The person from the other vehicle sustained wounds. The passenger from the suspect’s vehicle (who suffered serious injuries) and the suspect were sent to Orlando Regional Medical Center. There, the suspect succumbed to fatal injuries.
Police shut down the Michigan Street and South Lee Avenue junction for investigation and clearance.
