Pregnant woman hurt, suffers miscarriage in red-light crash in Tampa
TAMPA, FL – A 37-year-old pregnant woman riding on a motorcycle had a miscarriage after sustaining injuries in a crash caused by a driver who ran a red light.
This crash happened around 7:13 a.m. Sunday at State Road 574 and Sydney Dover Road, according to ABC Action News. Florida Highway Patrol said the events unfolded when a 35-year-old man operating a Suzuki motorcycle stopped at the intersection and was struck by a Toyota Venza driver (operated by a 57-year-old man from Valrico).
Troopers said the pregnant woman was hospitalized for non-life-threatening wounds, while the motorcycle operator sustained minor injuries.
The 57-year-old man and his passenger, a woman, were both spared from harm.
