Rear-end collision in Jacksonville claims life of 55-year-old woman
JACKSONVILLE, FL – One driver rear-ended a car along Atlantic Coast High School driven by a 55-year-old woman from Jacksonville, leading her to her death Sunday.
This collision happened before 4:30 p.m. on I-295 South in the right express lane, according to News 4 Jax. Florida Highway Patrol said the collision unfolded when the 55-year-old woman stopped driving or reduced her speed and was rear-ended by the other driver — a 39-year-old woman — who did not see her.
First responders took the 39-year-old woman, and her passenger — a 15-year-old girl — and the 55-year-old woman to a hospital. There, the 55-year-old woman passed away, and the teenager and other lady were going to be treated for unspecified wounds.s.
