Rear-end crash on I-295 claims 61-year-old man’s life
JACKSONVILLE, FL – A Florida Road Ranger hit the back of a pickup truck, and the pickup truck driver succumbed to fatal injuries.
The collision happened northbound on I-295 before 3:30 a.m. Tuesday, News 4 Jax reported.
Damage was done to the right front of the Road Ranger’s vehicle and damage to the left rear of the pickup truck.
The impact of Tuesday’s crash caused the pickup truck driver to hit a guardrail, flip over, and hit a light pole before falling into the river.
The Road Ranger, 23-year-old Roy Skets, was unharmed.
The pickup truck driver, a 61-year-old man, gave in to his injuries and was pronounced dead at the scene.
