Right-turn collision claims motorcyclist’s life in Fort Myers

FORT MYERS, FL – A driver of a sedan tried to turn right on SR-80 from Alta Vista Avenue and collided with a motorcyclist, leading to the biker’s death Friday.

This collision happened when the motorcyclist was going east on SR-80 and when the sedan driver attempted to cross the eastbound lanes, according to Wink News. Florida Highway Patrol said after arriving, an ambulance took the motorcyclist to a hospital, where they later passed away.

Troopers have not released additional details at this time.
