Sedan hits, injuries Flagler Co. deputy riding motorcycle
ST. AUGUSTINE, FL – A Flagler County deputy tried to get back onto I-95 South and collided with an 18-year-old man driving a sedan Tuesday, leading him to suffer serious injuries.
The events of the collision unfolded around 8:30 a.m., when the sedan driver did not notice that the deputy was trying to merge, which resulted in the deputy’s motorcycle striking the front portion of the sedan, according to FirstCoast News.
The impact led the deputy to fall from his motorcycle and come to rest south from the median, and the sedan eventually stopped and faced southeast. No injuries were reported for the sedan driver.
