JACKSONVILLE, FL – Florida Highway Patrol responded to a collision between a semi-truck and a car on I-10 Monday.
The crash occurred near McDuff Avenue, according to News 4 Jax. The semi-truck driver attempted to change lanes but lost control of the truck and crashed into a barrier.
At the same time, a driver of a car tried to avoid the crash and crossed over the freeway lanes before coming to rest on the grass.
The semi-truck driver was spared from injuries; however, the driver of the car, a 40-year-old adult, sustained minor injuries.
Damage was done to the front of the semi-truck, and fuel spilled from the 18-wheeler.
Officials closed travel lanes to clean up the spill and debris; all lanes have reopened since.
