Skateboard-car crash near UCF claims life
ORLANDO, FL – A 22-year-old man was riding a motorized skateboard near University of Central Florida when he was fatally hit by a car around 9 p.m. Thursday.
This collision happened at the Alafaya Trail and Central Florida Boulevard intersection, according to Click Orlando.
Florida Highway Patrol said it was a 30-year-old man operating a 2021 Toyota Corolla who hit the skateboarder using a marked crosswalk.
Troopers believe the driver entered the intersection on a yellow light. Still, this detail is under investigation.
