Speeding driver flees scene after van overturns in Tampa
TAMPA, FL – A driver of a Kia Sedona Minivan (who later fled the scene on foot) was said to have been speeding when they crashed into a creek and their vehicle overturned Wednesday.
This single-vehicle collision happened before 1:30 p.m. at southbound Old U.S. 41 and U.S. 41, according to ABC Action News. After the minivan overturned, it struck a guardrail.
Florida Highway Patrol responded to the scene, said the driver’s car was unregistered, and indicated that they had also found an unassigned license plate in the water.
Other first responders, divers, searched for the hit-and-run driver but could not find them.
