Motorcyclist killed in crash with SUV on US-17 in Clay Co.
Clay Co., FL – A motorcyclist was killed Friday night when he he was hit by an SUV on Fleming Island, according to WJXT.
Troopers with the Florida Highway Patrol say the motorcycle was traveling on US-17 when an SUV turned into its path near the intersection with Scenic Point Lane.
The rider, an unidentified 30-year-old Jacksonville man, was pronounced dead at the scene.
The SUV’s driver, a 36-year-old woman, was hospitalized in serious condition. It is unclear at this time whether she will be charged in connection to the fatal crash.
