SUV driver fatally rear-ends moped operator in Cape Coral
CAPE CORAL, FL – An SUV driver rear-ended a Moped scooter operated by a 39-year-old man, leading him to succumb to fatal wounds Friday.
This collision happened around 10:30 p.m. on the eastbound lanes of the Cape Coral Bridge, according to WINK News.
Florida Highway Patrol confirmed that the moped operator was from Fort Myers and the SUV driver, a 38-year-old woman from Fort Myers, was unharmed. At this time, they did not specify if any criminal charges were filed against her or if she was cited.
Deputies began an investigation and have not released any more details at this time.
