Teen, 16, loses life in Orlando rear-end collision
ORLANDO, FL – A man driving a Mercedes-Benz SUV rear-ended another car, leading the Mercedes to overturn and a 16-year-old girl to die from her wounds Friday.
This collision happened after 9 p.m. Friday on SR-417, WESH said. After the Mercedes collided with the Mitsubishi Lancer sedan, it led the driver of the Mercedes to hit a guardrail and a tree prior to rolling over and crashing into an embankment. The Lancer spun before stopping, and its driver was taken to HCA Florida Hunter’s Creek for treatment of minor wounds.
The passenger of the Mercedes Benz — the 16-year-old girl — was taken to Osceola Regional Hospital, where she succumbed to fatal wounds. The driver of the Mercedes was taken to that same hospital, where he is recovering from critical, life-threatening wounds.
