Teen seriously hurt in pedestrian crash in Clay Hill
CLAY COUNTY, FL – A 14-year-old teenager was taken to a hospital after getting hit by a truck in Clay Hill Thursday.
The collision occurred on CR-218 just before Melaine Lane, First Coast News reported. A pickup truck driver was heading west when the teenager was in front of his path.
As a result, the student was hit by the pickup truck driver, an 80-year-old man. Officials said the teenager crossed the street without looking before walking.
The teenager was taken to a hospital where he or she sustained serious, non-life-threatening injuries.
