Trash truck crashes into Naples canal, FHP says
NAPLES, FL – Florida Highway Patrol is investigating the circumstances behind what led a driver of a trash truck to crash into a canal on I-75 Monday.
NBC-2 said the impact of this collision caused the truck to partially submerged, leading crews to use ropes to try and stabilize the vehicle.
FHP started an investigation. However, since details remain scarce, they have not been able to confirm the exact cause of this crash.
In addition, troopers did not state whether the driver was injured, hospitalized, or passed away.
There have been no reports of lane closures.
