Trash truck driver causes injury multi-auto wreck at Christmas
ORANGE COUNTY, FL – Two people were hospitalized after a trash truck crashed into the back of a Honda Accord on Wednesday, June 26, the impact of which caused the car to overturn and led the truck to strike two other vehicles.
This crash happened after 12 p.m. at East Colonial Drive and St. Nicholas Avenue, in the unincorporated area of Christmas, according to WESH. Preliminary details show that after the trash truck struck the Honda, it went on to hit a BMW X5 and a Dodge Durango. As a result, both the Dodge Durango and the BMW, which spun and overturned, eventually came to rest on the side of the road.
The garbage truck driver and Dodge motorist were unharmed, while the drivers of the BMW and the Honda were taken to a hospital.
Florida Highway Patrol troopers launched an investigation following the incident but has not released other details at this time.
