Trash truck wreck with extrication in Miami sends men to hospital
MIAMI, FL – Miami-Dade Fire Rescue crews extricated two men from a garbage truck prior to an ambulance taking them to HCA Florida Kendall Hospital Friday.
This collision happened around 1:30 p.m. in the vicinity of Southwest 104th Street and Hammocks Boulevard, according to WSVN.
First responders said while details are preliminary, they determined the collision unfolded when one of the men, who experienced a medical episode, lost control of the trash truck’s steering wheel, drifted off the road, and collided with a tree.
Footage from the source showed a large tree on the truck, although it appeared to have not been significantly damaged.
