Two-boat accident in Cape Coral sends woman to hospital
CAPE CORAL, FL – A person operating a 24-foot center console boat had gone into the path of a vessel and struck it, sending a woman to the hospital Friday.
This two-boat collision occurred adjacent to the Midpoint Bridge on the Caloosahatchee River, NBC 2 reported.
The Florida Fish Wildlife Conservation Commission, which will take the lead on this investigation, said the two boats were going in opposite directions at the time of the collision.
Authorities did not confirm if the boat captain and the passenger from the 24-foot center console boat were injured, nor indicated if any citations are pending.
