Two drivers fatally strike 27-year-old man in Tampa
TAMPA, FL – A 27-year-old male pedestrian lost his life after he was struck by two vehicles on the Veterans Expressway before 9:45 p.m. Monday.
According to FOX 13 News, this collision occurred near the Courtney Campbell Causeway. The pedestrian – Alexander Rowland – was standing on the northbound lane throwing liquids at vehicles.
Upon arrival, police discovered that a driver of a black Hyundai Santa Fe and a driver of second vehicle (who fled the scene) struck Rowland.
Rowland has succumbed to fatal injuries. The driver of the Hyundai remained at the scene and cooperated with investigators.
The other driver has yet to be found.
No charges are pending.
