Two hospitalized, 93-year-old woman dead after DeLand crash
DELAND, FL – Two were injured, and one life was claimed in a two-vehicle collision Tuesday.
As reported in Click Orlando, the collision took place before 6:30 p.m. at South Adelle Avenue and West Beresford Road.
Simultaneously, a driver of a 2018 Ford Transit van was driving on the eastbound lanes of West Beresford Road, approaching South Adelle, while a driver of a 2006 Jeep Liberty was traveling south on South Adelle coming to West Beresford.
The Jeep driver did not pursue a complete stop and hit the left side of the Ford. The impact caused the Ford to drift off the road and collide with a traffic sign and a power pole.
The Ford driver was seriously injured, and the Jeep driver sustained minor injuries. Both were transported to hospitals. A Ford van passenger, a 93-year-old woman, succumbed to fatal injuries.
