Update: FHP confirms identity of motorcyclist killed in Tice crash
FORT MYERS, FL – Florida Highway Patrol confirmed that it was a 37-year-old man from Fort Myers who passed away after colliding with a sedan Friday.
New details from News-Press indicate that this crash happened around 10 p.m. when the sedan driver, a 47-year-old woman from North Fort Myers, tried to cross all of the eastbound lanes on Palm Beach Boulevard while pursuing a right turn and collided with the motorcyclist, also going east.
Prior to the crash, the woman was traveling north on Alta Vista Avenue near SR 80. The impact caused the front of the motorcyclist to strike the sedan. First responders rushed the man to a hospital, where he succumbed to fatal wounds.
FHP started an investigation and has not released other details.
