Update: SUV driver plows into Estero Red Robin, ending in DUI arrest
ESTERO, FL – The Lee County Sheriff’s Office confirmed the SUV driver who crashed into the Red Robin at the Gulf Town Coast Center on Wednesday has been arrested and charged with a DUI.
New details from NBC-2 said this collision happened at 2:30 p.m., and the driver, identified as 57-year-old Laura Defrancesco, has also been charged with DUI property damage.
Additional updates from Wink News also show that it was Defrancesco who was treated at the scene for moderate wounds before being sent to the hospital.
No one inside the chain establishment has been harmed.
