Update: Teen, 17, killed in Argyle Forest Blvd. collision, JSO says

JACKSONVILLE, FL – The Jacksonville Sheriff’s Office confirmed it was a 17-year-old girl who passed away in a crash that happened on Argyle Forest Boulevard Tuesday.

New details from News 4 Jax reveal that the collision happened around 6 p.m. when the driver of the pickup truck tried to come onto Argyle Forest from Spencers Trace Drive and collided with the 17-year-old girl on a motorcycle.

JSO said impairment did not play a part in this crash and revealed the driver remained at the scene.

While the investigation is still in its preliminary stages, the public says that accidents on Argyle Forest are all too common, especially with high speeds and significant traffic. Since collisions are regular occurrences, local authorities and the Florida Department of Transportation may just look into the reasons behind such wrecks.
