UPDATE: Troopers reveal more info about I-275 dump truck rollover wreck
TAMPA, FL – Florida Highway Patrol has released more information about the collision on I-275 that led a dump truck to overturn Wednesday.
An updated post from WFLA indicates that this collision happened before 7:45 a.m. when a driver of a Ford F150 hit the back of a Ford F250 after the Ford F250 motorist failed to slow down. As a result, both Fords collided with a wall and then struck a Dodge Challenger.
The driver of the Dodge Challenger then collided with the dump truck, and the truck rolled over, spilling sand and diesel fuel.
All drivers were injured. The Ford F150 driver sustained serious wounds, while the other drivers’ injuries were deemed minor.
No other information has been reported at this time.
